..........If you've read Food for Thought One, Pt. 2 ("U.S.A.-Land of Liars"), you'll know that I've gone pretty vehemently on the attack against Matthew Rothschild of The Progressive magazine and Alexander Cockburn of Counter Punch on the grounds of their being "left" Gatekeepers—and particularly deceitful and dishonest ones, whatever they may, in the deepest part of their own private consciences, really think about 9/11.
..........As to the truth of that important point, we'll never know until, when, or if they tell us themselves. Until then, I think we ought to trust them, in Hamlet's words, as we would trust adders fanged.
..........When I wrote "U. S.A.—Land of Liars," I didn't know that Matthew Rothschild's awful piece had also been posted on AlterNet.org, which had, furthermore, posted two additional anti-9/11 Truth pieces, one by Matt Taibbi of Rolling Stone and another by Joshua Holland. (And neither did I know that Taibbi had posted an even earlier anti-9/11 Truth piece on Alternet.)
..........But now something very, very good has happened. AlterNet has decided to live by a higher standard than the craven and traitorous mainstream press and media, and has decided actually to look at both sides of what's unquestionably one of the world's three or four most absolutely important issues today. The AlterNet editor's decision to run Sander Hicks's "9/11: The Case Isn't Closed" is admirable and welcome. He explains it this way:
