Larsen's claim to this degree of precocity has, indeed, been debated fiercely among commentators and scholars. One of the most helpful voices is that of Frederik Nissen, who in an article on a different subject made the justly famous observation about this one that has already been the start of an entirely new direction in Larsen studies.
